First Nation Wireless Internet Service Provider Initiative
CDDO Networks can and does assist First Nations in the development and deployment of community owned and operated Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) services to their reserves and surrounding areas. A WISP offers broadband services to business and residential customers utilizing radio-based point-to-multipoint networks. Through wireless deployments, First Nations WISPs will be able to deliver service to businesses and residents. Offerings include high speed internet, video conferencing and data streams. With the fewer and fewer support programs available, First Nations will have to look increasingly internally for revenue streams to keep the existing infrastructure in operational. Communities will have to maximize every dollar spent in the community before it leaves. A WISP offers communities that opportunity.
